Drone Prototyping Short Course Final Presentations

Congrats to the 30 George Mason University students who successfully completed the Mason Innovation Exchange (The MIX) Drone prototyping workshop series for Fall 2024!

Students participated in a 9-week unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) prototyping short course that provides them the opportunity to learn the fundamental introductory concepts related to UAVs and advanced manufacturing through hands-on experience building. Students learn basic concepts in mechanical systems, microcontrollers, computer vision, aircraft dynamics, and their integration to build a drone. After successful completion of this course, students earned a digital micro-credential.

Special thanks to Aurora Flight Sciences and Merridith Kauten, CAE, and Michael Plocinik for joining us! Thank you to our instructor, Aniket Datar!
