Vinyl Cutter and Heat Press
Getting Started with Sewing:
The basic requirements to use the heat press and vinyl cutter is to take the workshop.

Anyone is welcome to use the MIX’s vinyl cutter and heat press. Users must supply their own vinyl material to use.

The MIX has a 36” US Cutter Vinyl Cutter and a desktop Cricut machine

Getting Started with Embroidery:
The basic requirements to use the embroidery machines is to take the embroidery workshop

Brother PE800
We have 2 automated embroidery machines. Thread, bobbins and interfacing are provided, but we ask that you bring your own fabric to embroider on. There is scrap fabric available to test embroideries, but supply is not guaranteed.
You must take the intro to embroidery workshop to use the embroidery machines.
Our machines ONLY accepts .pes embroidery files. These are available to download online, on sites like etsy.

The second part of our embroidery workshop teaches you how to create your own embroidery files from images using the program Inkscape, with the extension Ink/Stitch (available for download here and here)
Note: Because Ink/Stitch is an extension that runs within Inkscape, make sure to download and install Inkscape first. Trying to install Ink/Stitch first can cause errors.
