New Wearable Computing Workshop
The new MIX Wearable Computing workshop incorporates textiles and electronic components to produce a multi-functioning user defined system, applicable in the visual and performing arts, engineering, entrepreneurship, and more. Student Staff Associate Vishvajit Senthilkumar is seen prototyping an example using the Adafruit FLORA, a round, sewable, Arduino-compatible microcontroller designed to empower amazing wearables projects. Many components also have the potential to be water resistant.
After trial and error, Vishva has taken on the endeavor to learn a new set of skills that he had not yet tackled. This is an example of the MIX staff’s grit and dedication to providing new potentials for the MIX community and workshop databse. More updates on the launch of this exciting workshop will come soon.
